Located in pretty St. Agnes and with fabulous long views to The Beacon is aptly named Beacon House. Newly finished it is ideal for families or friends visiting this popular part of Cornwall. Effortlessly stylish throughout, elegant, contemporary furnishings and bright spacious interiors create a beautiful home from home. A feature wood burning stove in the sitting room makes for cosy evenings in after a bracing day walking along the coast. The smart kitchen and a useful utility room are well equipped with everything you'll need during your holiday. Glazed doors look out over the enclosed south facing garden, providing a sunny spot to enjoy your morning coffee before heading out for the day. On the first floor are three relaxing bedrooms, a double room with a king size bed and en suite bathroom which looks out over the Beacon, a double room with a fabulous sleigh bed and a twin room. A crisp family bathroom completes the accommodation. Tucked away in a truly stunning and unspoilt designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, as well as being a World Heritage Site, St Agnes has everything you need close by. Just a short stroll into town and you'll find a good choice of excellent restaurants, a host of shops selling local produce, tasty treats, gifts and unique art, with events and gigs held in the town all-year-round. St Agnes has a rich mining heritage, which is evident at the St Agnes Museum, while walkers can enjoy pretty footpaths and bridleways, or jump on the South West Coast Path in either direction to enjoy superb coastal views.Choose from four glorious, sandy beaches, offering superb Atlantic surfing conditions, as well as swimming and other activities like body boarding, including the lovely, family-friendly Trevaunance Cove and unspoilt Chapel Porth Beach. The popular coastal town of Newquay, considered to be the surfing capital of the UK, as well as a host of other fantastic beaches along the north Cornwall coast, including Perranporth, Crantock and Fistral are within easy reach. Cornwall's only city, Truro, is a short drive away, with its Victorian Gothic cathedral that overlooks the river, while renowned attractions of Eden Project and Lost Gardens of Heligan are an easy car journey away. Beacon House is a fantastic retreat for exploring the north Cornwall coast.
St Agnes is a thriving picturesque village on the Cornish coast, with four beaches on the doorstep and surrounded by wonderful countryside. Swim or surf in the clear waters, walk the footpaths and bridleways or hop onto the South West Coast Path. Coasteering, kayaking and horse riding are all available locally, and St Agnes has a regular programme of events and gigs for all the family to enjoy. The local shops offer an interesting selection of produce, from tasty treats to one-off pieces of art as a unique souvenir of your Cornish holiday, and there is a superb range of dining choices with two Great Cornish Food Awards in 2015. St Agnes also has a rich mining heritage which can be explored with a visit to the St Agnes Museum. Head out of St Agnes and you will find plenty of Cornwall’s attractions within easy reach, from the beaches at Newquay to the Tate at St Ives or the cathedral at Truro and of course, the world-famous Eden Project. Firstly the cleanliness is a credit to the housekeeper Kate, lots of fluffy towels and cleaning necessities. The accommodation is comfortable and very warm, we didn't need to light the logburner despite temperatures of near zero. The location with ample parking was ideal especially for us being around the corner from our daughter and family. St Agnes is a short stroll away with all you need in shops, butchers, bakery and eateries. We will definitely consider a stay in Beacon House the next time we are in the area.

A short walk away is a local welcoming pub along with a butchers a bakers and minimart. Beacon house is very well situated if you want to visit other places such as Perranporth , st ives , Truro and many other great places. Home owners and home management were very helpful and always on hand if needed.

Itâs comfortable and has everything you need. The bed in the second bedroom is too small and would benefit from a king size. The house is kitted out with quite high end products so Iâm surprised that the towels were thin and poor quality. Overall we all enjoyed our stay at Beacon house and would most certainly recommend it and the lovely village of St Agnes.
