Nestled in the Cornish village of Crantock near a golden, sandy beach, is this fabulous, detached holiday home, Summer House. Enjoying a large garden to alfresco dine in the warmer months and a contemporary interior, this family-friendly property is ideal for a group of eight. Leave your vehicle in an off-road parking space before entering into the hallway, where you can keep your shoes and jackets. Discover the open-plan living space; here you can make use of the electric oven and hob to prepare home-cooked meals and keep your beverages in the wine chiller. Settle down at the dining table to tuck-into your feast or throw open the patio doors to stretch your legs in the rear garden to savour the sun. After an action-packed day, you can utilise the utility room to wash your clothes, ready for another adventure. As day draws to night, head inside and gather in the light and airy sitting room for a film night on the large TV. When sleep calls, venture upstairs to choose between four bedrooms, with a king-size and en-suite, a further king-size, a double and a twin bedroom, all with furniture to keep your holiday clothes. Start the day with a bubble-bath in the family bathroom or take a hot shower before joining the group in the social hub for a steaming cup of coffee. A short stroll will lead you to the sweeping Crantock Beach; here you can throw down a towel and have a scenic reading spot and enjoy refreshments at Beachcomber café. Spend the day at the coastal town of Newquay, home to sandy beaches with great surfing conditions, a zoo to see much-loved animals and crazy golf for some family fun. Be sure to visit Fistral Beach to soak in the sights and the unique attraction of the Eden Project to see a 50 metre deep garden. Also with easy reach, is Lappa Valley for a ride on a traditional steam train and Dairyland Farm Park so the younger ones can get up close to ponies! All this and more awaits at Summer House.

Crantock is a small Cornish settlement located near the tourist resort of Newquay, just a short walk from the beach. This is the spot to go if you want to avoid the crowds while yet being near to the activity. There is beautiful scenery all around and many charming places to visit, but the seashore takes centre stage. Enjoy fantastic walks along the coastal route over majestic clifftops, or spectacular surfing on beaches that span from Watergate Bay in the north to Fistral Beach in the heart of Newquay and beyond.
