Although the milk in the fridge upon arrival was appreciated, a welcome basket of food would have been a nice touch. With every other property I have had via cottages.com, I have had a welcome basket. This should be the standard.

The apartment needs attention. Furniture stained and tired. Blinds and windows broken. Combination to gate to get in not correct. No answer from number on email, message left but no answer from them the whole time we were there. Which just made me feel abandoned and frustrated. . Left waiting outside for ages until another resident let us in. The key for the first door didn't work. The lock was broken and then removed, therefore reduced security for the week. No loo roll, having just driven 4 hours, not really too much to ask! No bin liner, just one would have helped. Vacuum cleaner, filthy, not emptied for weeks I should think! Welcome pack lacking. Cheap biscuits, certainly not up to the standards of other apartments. Builders working above and next door. Very noisy, herd of elephants come to mind! No consideration for guests. I wouldn't rent this apartment again.
