Cute, creekside Cornish cottage in the most idyllic location. Terrific views from the upper garden terrace and a cosy wood-burning stove for cooler evenings out of season.
Christmas Cottage is located beautifully within the heart of the exclusive village of Helford, regarded by many as one of the most idyllic locations in Cornwall. Offering character two bedroomed accommodation, this former fisherman’s cottage has been comprehensively renovated and benefits from both front and rear gardens as well as the very rare feature of private parking for two vehicles directly in front of the house. Beautiful views across the village and river are found from the upper garden terrace, there's a great village pub within a short walk away and lots of stunning places to explore from this tranquil part of Cornwall.

Mr Mountford
Wonderfully located cosy property with great walks from the doorstep and dark starlit skies at night .We enjoyed taking the ferry to Glendurgan gardens where there is a delightfully tricky maze and a nice cafe . We also enjoyed The walks to St . Anthony and Frenchmans Creek and on a rainy day the museum in Helston .

Ah the cottage had a strong smell of damp, the wall in the living room was bulging, assuming due to hidden damp within the wall. The master bedroom mattress is disgusting, I noticed it when stripping the bed as requested on the last day. The mattress appeared to be as old as the old bed frame, my skin has been crawling ever since. The dining room is very nice, and the bathroom is to a high standard. In short, the location is beautiful although somewhat remote (which is to be expected), the cottage is very nice, but requires attention to: (i) Fresh paint (ii) Living room smell, wall and/or damp requires attention (iii) The master bedroom mattress is absolutely vile. It is a shame that these negative points have shaped our reason never to return to this cottage. To be honest it has put us off using cottages again, I think we’ll stick to nice hotels in future.
