About this property

Looe 3.9 miles. Tremeryl is situated in the village of Widegates on the outskirts of the harbourside town of Looe in Cornwall. Offering three bedrooms - two of which have large balconies and countryside views - and a professionally landscaped garden, Tremeryl is ideal for a family or group of friends to get away at any time of year․ On arrival at the property, an off-road parking space greets you before stepping inside. Stepping into the ground floor, a handy cloakroom with a basin and WC is situated off the hall, before making your way down to the lower-ground floor's open-plan living space. The sleek, integrated kitchen is perfect for rustling up a delicious meal for your group to enjoy at the dining table while planning the day's adventures. From here, sink into the delightful rounded sofa after a day of exploring the local area and flick on the TV to unwind. As the evening draws to a close, climb the stairs to the first floor where you will find a well-presented king-size room, complete with a large walk-in wardrobe and a balcony boasting glorious countryside views. Moving through the property, a family bathroom serves the home with a bath and a walk-in shower, giving you the option to quickly rinse off after a day at the beach or indulge in a long soak after a busy day. Making your way up to the second floor, a light and airy twin room provides further sleeping quarters, and up on the third floor, the master bedroom offers a plush super-king-size bed, an en-suite shower room and a balcony complete with furniture to enable you to relax and take in the exquisite views. Back on the lower-ground floor, patio doors from the open-plan living space take you into the charming, south-facing cottage garden which is home to a lawned area and patio with dining furniture for the whole group; take your meals alfresco or perhaps escape in the mornings with a coffee before the rest of your group rises. Just a short drive will take you to the picture-perfect Seaton Beach, where you can enjoy a day sunbathing, or if you are feeling adventurous, you can try your hand at some watersports. Make your way into the pretty harbourside town of Looe and spend an afternoon admiring West Looe Harbour before heading into East Looe to explore the shops and wander down the quaint streets. Animal lovers can spend a day at the nearby Porfell Wildlife Sanctuary, discovering the exotic species up-close. Adventurous types will enjoy a day of walking in the beautiful surrounding areas, where you may come across Golitha Falls, a tremendous cascading waterfall nestled in a dense wooded area. If you enjoy a more peaceful walk, venture out to Seaton Valley Countryside Park and stroll along the elevated footpaths overlooking the seaside, or perhaps make your way to the Polperro Heritage Coast and decide your own walking and cycling routes within the outstanding scenery. If you don't fancy cooking one evening, plenty of eateries can be found in the surrounding towns and villages, such as the Blue Plate and the Inn on the Shore in Downderry. Tremeryl is also situated a stones throw away from the Copley Arms, a traditional countryside pub with roaring fires in winter and an extensive beer garden in summer. The local Tredennick Farm Shop is only half a mile down the road and offers the best of local meat, fruit and vegetables as well as home cooking and baking in their very popular café. Whatever the weather, Tremeryl is a fantastic retreat for the whole family.

Cornwall's second largest fishing port, Looe, is a delightful holiday destination boasting a lively maritime bustle. East Looe is known for its thriving quay while the quieter West Looe is renowned for its seven-arched, 19th century bridge over the River Looe. West Looe's picturesque harbour is popular among tourists, whilst East Looe draws travellers in with its cobbled streets and quaint shops resting down narrow lanes and twisting alleyways.

On arrival there were plaster boards propped up against the fence which didn’t provide a great first impression. However once inside the property didn’t disappoint. The oak flooring throughout is stunning. There were however no blinds or curtains anywhere in the property this did not provide any privacy. The lack of blinds in the main bedroom did not allow us to have a lay in because the light poured in the room very early. However the views are impressive and made the early rising more bearable! The bed in the main bedroom is huge and super comfortable, the balcony for early morning coffee was a bonus. The showers and bathrooms are all super impressive, it would have been helpful to have at least one mirror in one of the bedrooms for drying hair and also a hair dryer. The only mirror is in the bathroom which was a problem. The property is well positioned to visit lots of places around Cornwall which is a plus too! All in all would recommend!
