A lovely country bolthole for two, this is one of four tastefully converted holiday cottages set amongst the magnificent grounds of a 23 acre country house estate with it's own lavender fields. Squirrel's Drey is an elevated romantic retreat within a short drive of spectacular beaches and coves and forms the perfect base from which to explore all the Lizard Peninsula has to offer. In this rural location the night skies are abundant with stars to see on a clear night, perfect for stargazers. The immediate area is steeped in maritime and smuggling history and is renowned for having one of the best climates in England. Head towards the coast with the nearest beach being Poldhu Cove and it's lovely café. Visit traditional Cornish villages such as Mullion, Porthleven and Coverack, all just a short drive away. The South West Coast path can be joined direct from the property as it goes around the grounds and up the driveway! Attractions in the area include The Minack Theatre, National Seal Sanctuary, Flambards Theme Park, and the Tate Gallery at St Ives, to name just a few. The property is approached by a flight of eight granite steps and on entering you step straight into a beautiful light and airy open plan lounge/diner. There is a Smart TV with Netflix and a Ruark audio system with DAB radio, dining table and seating for two. The galley kitchen is well equipped and offers an electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Off the hallway is the bathroom with shower over bath and WC and then completing this charming snug is the spacious luxurious double bedroom. Within this 23 acre estate is a shared heated outdoor swimming pool (open from May to the end of September, weather permitting) with changing room and WC. Guests can meet the resident horse and sheep as well the curious chickens. On this country estate there are picnic areas, walks and access to public footpaths where there is an array of wildlife to discover.
