About this property

This seaward facing apartment is a fifteen minute walk from Falmouth's town centre and enjoys views across the scenic waterways of one of the world's largest natural harbours, encompassing the charismatic village of Flushing where cottages hug the waterfront and on to St Anthony Head in the distance. Guests cannot fail to be impressed by the generously proportioned rooms and comfort within. Ideal for couples, the open uncluttered style of the spacious open plan living room with a kitchen permits the eye to be drawn out to the activity of the nautical scene beyond and natural light is harnessed by double aspect windows and fully glazed doors that lead onto a super balcony. A lovely room to relax in, boldly striped blue and white settees sharply contrast the pale beech furnishings and neutral carpeting. The cool calico shaded decor and tasteful coastal colour theme extends into full en-suite bedrooms where comfortable beds are dressed in fabrics that reflect the colours of the sea. Wander the narrow cobbled streets of Falmouth town and seek refreshment in one of the characterful inns serving Cornish ciders and ales. Browse the curio shops and art galleries and sample the fayre from one of the many superb restaurants, cafes and eateries - with pasties, cream teas and fish and chips all temptingly on offer. Pleasure boat trips and fishing excursions can be enjoyed, up the river to Truro city with its dramatic Neolithic three-spired cathedral, or across to St Mawes on the Roseland Peninsula, a stunning area of outstanding natural beauty. Have fun with activities such as sailing, swimming, fishing or golf. A visit to the National Maritime Museum is not to be missed and Henry VIII's Pendennis Castle is a worthy attraction. Visit Swanpool and Maenporth Beach or discover the beautiful secret coves of The Lizard Peninsula, tucked away and accessed down the dramatic cliff tops. A magnificent holiday destination at any time of year, there is much to see and do in this popular, lively resort where life centres around its colourful harbour and scenic waterways.

Falmouth, with its magnificent natural harbour (the third largest in the world), winding streets and beaches, will keep you occupied for hours. The town's old harbourside pubs, excellent shopping, art gallery and stunning National Maritime Museum simply complete the picture. Pendennis Castle, built by Henry viii, is Falmouth's most popular attraction, sited on its own peninsula with superb panoramic sea views. Across from Falmouth harbour is the beautiful town of St Mawes, surrounded by the rocky coves, sandy beaches and lush green countryside of the Roseland Peninsula. Go there by car (15 miles) or take the passenger ferry from Falmouth (15 minutes).

There is no internet although it said there was on the website. The TV is not a smart TV which I would expect for the cost per week. There is no recycling system which I didn't like and no where to emplty the kitchen bin. It was not an issue for us but this place is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues due to the stairs and climb when returning form town by foot.
