Willow 1 is a spacious and well-equipped lodge in a peaceful woodland setting, praised for its comfort, dog-friendly environment, and helpful staff. Guests appreciate the quiet location, modern amenities, and cleanliness, though some mention areas needing a refresh and occasional cleaning lapses. The lodge offers good value for money and is ideal for those seeking relaxation, with many returning guests. Some minor issues with maintenance, seating comfort, and views were noted, but overall, the property provides a pleasant and enjoyable stay.

Most guests found the lodge clean and fresh, with several describing it as spotlessly clean. However, a few reviews highlighted issues such as dog hair, dust, and areas needing better attention, particularly under furniture and in bins. Some guests noted a decline in cleanliness over repeat visits.

The location is frequently described as peaceful, quiet, and set in attractive woodland, ideal for relaxation. While some guests missed having a view due to hedges or overgrown trees, the majority appreciated the tranquil setting and proximity to local attractions.

Guests generally found the lodge comfortable, with positive comments on spaciousness, warmth, and well-equipped interiors. Some mentioned uncomfortable mattresses, pillows, and sofas, particularly for older guests, but these were outweighed by positive feedback on overall comfort.

The lodge is well-equipped with modern amenities such as a washing machine, dishwasher, and fans. Guests appreciated the thoughtful touches and found everything needed for a pleasant stay. Some minor maintenance issues, such as decking and missing kitchen items, were noted but did not significantly impact the experience.

A welcome pack was mentioned and appreciated by some guests, but please note that such gifts are not guaranteed. Staff were described as friendly and helpful, contributing positively to the overall experience.

A great holiday overall. Cabin was clean and well equipped with everything we needed for our short break in Wareham. Shame we were not nearer to our children who were also staying with their families. But we worked around this. The decking was clearly faulty as moved considerably when walked on. Will require attention. Workmen on the cabin directly in front of us worked 8 until 6. Electric saws hammering and slamming of van doors was not ideal. We know people have to work but they could have been more considerate with their doors, parking across alloted parking spaces. Maybe start at 9am given people are on holiday. More than 1 fan when it hit as the accomodation gets very hot especially over night. Would recommend to others if concerns with workmen are sorted

This has been our 9th visit to Wareham forest lodge. We absolutely love staying here as it’s pretty central to where we like to visit. However, the last couple of times we’ve visited the cleanliness of the lodges has gone right down hill, which I would say let the lodge down. Cobwebs and dust pretty much everywhere, there was even dog hair on the floor under the sofa (we didn’t have a dog) emptied the bin to find a disgusting greasy puddle at the bottom of the bin which clearly hadn’t been cleaned since the last guests and the smell was awful, the same thing happened the last time we came. It’s the little finesse things that we noticed. Also the lodge is in a desperate need of a refresh as things are looking a little tired in places. You pay a lot of money to stay here so I would expect the cleaning to be a lot better than it is!
