I have given the park 1 star due to the wildlife around the park being beautiful. Other than that I have nothing nice to say about the lodge itself. Curtains full of mould, flooring peeled up (trip hazard, causing my toddler to fall on multiple occasions) extractor fan continuously dripped grease into our food whilst cooking on the hob. The sofa was also full of holes and dog fur. I don’t think the lodge exterior (including the decked area) had been cleaned in a very long time. The list goes on… wouldn’t stay at the site ever again. Disgusting

Firstly the park is very nice. It’s quiet, clean and very tidy, just what we wanted. There’s a bus stop right outside the park which is great to go to Poole or the opposite direction to Swanage. Our Hazel 3 Premier lodge was very dated and needed a good clean. The main bed was very uncomfortable with springs felt when turning over and I got a spring in my leg when sitting on the side of the bed, getting into bed. The mattress was also stained. The fridge was missing a shelf in the door for the milk. Cupboard door missing on the washing machine. The location of our lodge was private. Our hot tub was checked every day. Sofa dirty and stained However my son’s lodge was really lovely. It has clearly been upgraded and it was clean and tidy. Shame ours wasn’t to the same standard.

The lodge was fine, but the furniture was huge and too large for the space. Having 4 people and two large dogs in the lodge meant it was overcrowded with the large furniture as well. The hot tub was tired and in need of some repair. We stayed just as the June heatwave hit, despite our efforts to cool down the lodge was like a sauna, the last night it was 38 degrees inside the lodge. The was one small fan and no air conditioning. The only place to cool down was the local Lidl, or the Co-op in Wareham or using the air conditioning in our car.The patio got so hot we couldn't walk on it for a lot of the day. There was no parasol or shade sail to provide any shade on the patio. While we know the weather was not the fault of the lodge resort, we won't be booking a lodge that has no air conditioning again, because we are told that these heatwaves are likely to happen in future years too.
