The cottage's character and proximity to local amenities make it a popular choice for a comfortable stay.

The cottage generally receives positive remarks on cleanliness, with guests describing it as clean and well-kept. There are no significant complaints about cleanliness, indicating that it is maintained to a high standard.

The location is highly praised for being close to Blenheim Palace and within walking distance to Woodstock. The convenience for walkers and the proximity to local eateries contribute to its high rating, despite some concerns about parking.

Guests find the cottage cosy and the beds comfortable, but some have mentioned that the sofas are not very comfortable and the shower can be temperamental. The overall comfort is deemed satisfactory, though there is room for improvement.

Facilities are generally good, with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden. However, there are several mentions of maintenance issues such as non-working lights and the need for updates, which affects the score.

Guests often mention a welcome pack, which adds a touch of thoughtfulness to their arrival. However, as these gifts are subject to availability and not guaranteed, they are a pleasant surprise rather than an expectation.

The cottage is comfortable, but general maintenance would not go amiss, lights, doors, switches, etc.,sometimes it’s the little things that make the difference, trying to find the lamp switches behind the bed was a pain, an outside light at the back would be helpful, and perhaps a few logs(there were none ),to complete the experience of a nice comfy cottage.

Having milk and some essentials provided was great and the logs and firelighters was the icing on the cake!!!

  • Kerry

Cottage was a little tired and could benefit from some quick and cheap fixes- lamps in the bedroom, new bathslip matt, fixtures and fittings tightened up as things lose, e.g. dressing table mirror, toilet roll holder, front door handle and a general tidy up. Warm and comfortable overall
