Decoy Farm Cottages – Peaceful, Comfortable, and Full of Countryside CharmI had a fantastic stay at Decoy Farm Cottages. The cottage was spotless, cosy, and really well equipped, with everything you need for a comfortable break. The location is beautifully peaceful, surrounded by fields, wildlife, and the unique marshland landscape that makes High Halstow so special. It is a working farm, and that’s part of the charm — you naturally expect a bit of mud, machinery, and the day‑to‑day life of a farm around you. For me, it added to the authenticity and made the stay feel even more connected to the countryside. The hosts were welcoming and clearly take great pride in the cottages. Every detail was thought through, and the whole place feels cared for. Waking up to quiet mornings and ending the day with stunning sunsets made the stay memorable. If you’re looking for a relaxing countryside escape with genuine farm character, beautiful scenery, and a cottage that feels like home, Decoy Farm Cottages is outstanding. I’d happily return and highly recommend it.The only little thing I would suggest is to have a mop and bucket in each of the cottages.

Lovely area nice place to stay but sofa grubby had to wash pots and pans before use (thrown better away) cups chipped and stained. The farm is great with friendly animals donkey horses ducks chickens and a goose. All the equipment inside I.e crockery, pots and pans need replacing. Only three plates so had to wash up every time so the dishwasher was an item we could not use.The owner very friendly although we did not see her til Thursday
