A charming, quirky terraced fisherman's cottage situated in the Deal Conservation Area, only 30 yards from the beach and within a few minutes' walk to the centre of Deal. Comfortably furnished, this Deal cottage dates back to 1801 and offers an ideal base for families and friends wishing to explore this part of the Kent coastline. The well-equipped kitchen at this Deal cottage looks onto a dining area and sitting area, offering a welcoming place to relax whatever the time of year. Each side of the inglenook fireplace in this Deal cottage are staircases which lead up to the bedrooms, and to add to its quirky character, all three rooms are interlinked by doors, and you can hear the sea from two of the bedrooms, meaning you can drift off to sleep to the sounds of the sea lapping on the shoreline. On long summer evenings, step into the courtyard garden at this Kent cottage where you can enjoy a glass or two, or maybe a spot of alfresco dining. You can be paddling in the sea or fishing from the beach in just a minute's walk, or treading along the famous Middle Street with its well-worn cobbles under which are the tunnels used by smugglers to bring in the 'booty'; right under the eyes and feet of the Custom Men. Deal is now more famous for its bistro and bars, quaint shops and shoreline, museums and markets, and of course no visitor should leave the town without visiting one of the castles.
