For some vitamin sea, head to the rolling dunes of Camber Sands (19 miles), or Dymchurch (14 miles) to stroll along the sand before you hop onto the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway to enjoy a picturesque steam train journey to Dungeness. Or if you have the children with you, they’ll love seeing the animals at the rural Rare Breeds Centre (5 miles) and Port Lympe Safari Park (10 miles).

Park in your private parking spot (there’s room for four cars) and head to this landmark oast house.
