Guests say

The Granary is a well-received cottage praised for its cleanliness, comfortable amenities, and peaceful location within walking distance to the village. Guests appreciate the well-equipped space and the proximity to attractions, including a national trust beach. The charming village of Brighstone offers a shop, pub, and delightful tearooms. Some decor updates and mattress replacements are suggested, but overall, guests had enjoyable stays and would return.

Guests consistently noted the cottage as spotlessly clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful yet conveniently close to the village and nearby attractions, making it an excellent spot for exploration.

The cottage is described as comfortable and well-equipped, although there is a suggestion that the main bedroom's mattresses may need replacement.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, but there are recommendations for updating decor and addressing a musty smell, possibly linked to dated carpets.

While guests mentioned the provision of tea, milk, and coffee, there is insufficient information to assess overall thoughtfulness, and such gifts should not be expected on every stay.

Converted in 1990, the living accommodation is on the first floor with a kitchen and open plan living/dining area, whilst the ground floor has two bedrooms and a bathroom. The cottage is ideal for holidays and short breaks all year round. The garden is enclosed, private and has a real sun trap – you will love having breakfast on the patio! Guests staying for seven nights or more are welcomed with a hamper containing local island produce.

The Brighstone village shop is well stocked and you should be able to buy most items you will need during your stay. Brighstone is one of the most popular and attractive villages on the Isle of Wight. It is situated on the southwest coast, around half a mile from the sea. Brighstone has everything that you would hope for in a village – a church, pub, cafe and bistro, tea room, grocery shop and Post Office, and a card and gift shop. Brighstone Forest is 2 miles away, and you will find some spectacular views around the island high up on the Downs.

Comfortable, clean and well equipped cottage. Location is peaceful yet only a short walk to the village with pub, tea room and shop. Short drive to lovely national trust beach and great location for exploring the area. Would stay again.

Loved the location. The cottage is beautiful. Some of the decor could do with updating. Mattresses in the main bedroom are in need of replacement. These are minor complaints. We had a super holiday.
