This rural setting is ideal for birdwatching as there are over 50 species within the grounds. Close by are vineyards, properties run by the National Trust, and other attractions including the coast which is only ten miles away.

The owners have their own three very friendly Golden Retrievers so are happy to accept equally sociable dogs - free of charge! Mini-breaks by arrangement. £50 discount when booking a 2 week holiday or £100 if booking 3 weeks.

We really enjoyed our week at Butters Cottage. We had a glorious week, helped in no small part by the weather. The cottage is very well equipped - I particularly liked all the books available. The outside space is simply incredible and we all so enjoyed being able to laze and relax and meander and pootle on both sides of the lane. The cottage is in such a good location for exploring without the need to travel far, and we liked being able to walk into Robertsbridge.

This was a lovely cottage where you felt more like a guest in someone’s house rather than a holiday let. For us the books, garden, fruit, birds and kitchen facilities were the things which made all the difference. Peter and Valerie were welcoming, friendly and helpful without being obtrusive. We have every intention of visiting this beautiful part of England again and would more than happy to return to Butters Cottage when we do.
