About this property

Bexhill-on-Sea 2.5 miles. This welcoming coastal holiday cottage is the wing of the owner's home and is situated in a beautiful location, directly on the beach in a secluded area just west of the unspoilt seaside town of Bexhill-on-Sea, home of the De La Warr Pavilion. Offering ground floor accommodation, this cosy property boasts an attractive family bedroom furnished with a king-size double bed and a single bed. This room has sea views, and a warm and spacious adjacent shower room with walk-in shower. The open plan living area completes the accommodation at this cottage; light and fresh, this is an ideal space where couples can relax and unwind after a long day exploring all the attractions, beaches and countryside that this part of the south coast offers. From the window you can watch the ever-changing seascape that is only a few steps from your door and on warm days enjoy meals alfresco while drinking in the sea air. But this is just the start of your holiday experience! This lovely cottage comes with use of a designated part of the owner's landscaped garden. Beautifully maintained and a paradise for artists, writers and garden lovers, it offers nooks and crannies to sit and read, enjoy a glass of wine, daydream or snooze to the sound of the sea. There is direct access to the sandy beach at low tide from the garden, so why not take an evening stroll before returning to the welcome of your quality holiday home? If you decide to venture away from this hidden haven, there is so much to enjoy in this area. Bexhill has a beach, promenade and good selection of shops and ample pubs in the area. Head to Eastbourne or Brighton for theatres and concerts or to Glyndebourne for opera. Visit the historic towns of Hastings, Battle or the cinque port of Rye, take a trip to the many National Trust properties within easy reach or just enjoy the variety of country or coastal footpaths on offer. Or with good rail links straight from Cooden Beach train station just down the road, why not take the train to London to enjoy a show or day of shopping before returning to your peaceful coastal retreat?

Cooden Beach is a quiet setting just west of Bexhill-on-Sea, with a shingle beach and it's own railway station, as well as a golf course and hotel with spa. The coastal town of Bexhill-on-Sea is situated between Eastbourne and Hastings, and boasts a two mile promenade, the world famous De La Warr Pavilion, shops, museums, gardens and a motoring heritage centre, plus golf, fishing, water sports and the 1066 walk can all be enjoyed. Close by is Battle, with its Abbey, and Rye, with antique shops and tea rooms, plus Royal Tunbridge Wells is well worth a visit.

It is comfortable, well decorated and the gardens and parking facilities are excellent. We particularly liked the short walk to the train station and travelled to six different locations in Sussex and Kent . We didn’t use the car at all. A lovely holiday home.

It’s everything we could wish for and it feels like home from home. Cannot fault it.

We loved everything about our wonderful stay. We felt so relaxed and enjoyed all the little extras that were provided by Valerie. We were in walking distance of the train station which was ideal for us to visit Hastings, Rye and Eastbourne. We would love to come back one Summer. Highly recommended
