This delightful, detached barn conversion is situated on the owners’ 120-acre grass and livestock farm, in the village of Whatlington. Guests are welcome to stroll across the fields, and if you are lucky, you may hear the nightingales sing. Buzzards are also frequent visitors. The inviting terrace overlooks the fields and is the perfect spot for al fresco dining.
Visit the delightful market town of Battle, which grew around Battle Abbey. You can walk across the famous battlefield and follow in the steps of the Norman and Saxon soldiers. The seaside town of Hastings, 7 miles, is a great place to stroll along the pier and indulge in some fish and chips. Sedlescombe offers the opportunity to visit a thriving organic vineyard, which has won many accolades for its wine. The area is home to National Trust properties, including Scotney Castle, Bodiam Castle and Rudyard Kipling’s stunning home, Bateman’s. The Cinque port town of Rye, with its cobbled medieval streets, it well worth a visit, and there are good rail links to London from nearby Battle. Golf is available locally. Beach 7 miles. This property is lovely, spacious and very well equipped. Its located in a very quiet location but is a short drive from the gorgeous town of Battle. There is a lovely reopened pub/restaurant a mile in the other direction the Oak and Olive. We had a wonderful time here and would thoroughly recommend.

Amazing StayWarm, welcome, clean, a lovely place to spend a few nights The barn is wonderful, impeccably clean, with a welcome pack of teas, coffee and wine to make you feel special on arrival, spacious and warm, a large patio with table, chairs and BBQ you couldn't ask for more. Great hob, oven and microwave for all the cooking needs, big TV, high speed internet and comfy sofas you could well stay in for your whole stay and it would be perfect.Nestled in amongst working farmland we were greeted by peaceful cattle each morning and evening which was lovely, warm welcomes and chats with neighbours and the farmer made for a wonderful stayNights were even better with very dark skies for stargazing being the highlight for my husband We cannot recommend The Old Parlour enough, we can't wait to book our next stay as soon as we can

Very tired and needs a good clean, toilet when flushing black mould came down and when looked under the rim of the basin was full of black mould. Black mould round showers.
