Lovely quiet compact and comfortable place to stay. Emma very welcoming and everything provided. Even "a special basket laid out with essential" bathroom items incase you may have forgotten something. Emma has gone above and beyond compared to other cottages we have visited. Very relaxing break, yet lots to do in the area should you wish. We visited, Herstmonceux Castle (book the internal tour if you can too), Batemans (Rudyard Kiplings former home), Hastings and Charleston House ("The Bloomsbury set"s former home) at Firle. All were good, interesting and their gardens amazing. The local pubs for evening meals also recommended. ran out of time to try all but good country pubs. Adequate facilities to cook if you don't want to go out. (air fryer, stove 2 rings and microwave). Coffee and chocolate machine with pods also there.Would book and use again. We didn't have a dog but dogs made welcome even dog shower at side of the granary. As others have said farm track, so not suitable for low undercarriaged vehicles. we drove very slowly and were ok.Imagine good all to stay all seasons. (Sssh for Christmas fans there's even 2 elf mugs for your hot chocolate.)
