Copper Crab Cottage offers a cosy and well-equipped base for exploring Amlwch and the surrounding area, with guests appreciating its dog-friendly features, enclosed garden, and proximity to local amenities and beaches. Many found the cottage comfortable and enjoyed helpful advice from the caretaker. However, some guests noted that the property would benefit from additional maintenance and cleaning, and a few experienced issues with garden upkeep and facilities. Overall, the cottage is a pleasant choice for couples or solo travellers, especially those with dogs, seeking a convenient location for a short break.
Several guests mentioned issues such as dust, cobwebs, stained carpets, and general lack of maintenance, though some found the cottage clean and comfortable. The feedback suggests cleanliness is inconsistent and could be improved.
The location is frequently praised for its convenience to local shops, pubs, walks, and beaches, making it ideal for exploring Amlwch and Anglesey.
Guests generally found the cottage cosy and well-equipped, but some reported uncomfortable beds, steep stairs, and issues with maintenance affecting their comfort.
The cottage is well-equipped with amenities like a good TV and enclosed garden, but some guests noted missing or faulty items (e.g., no freezer, broken toilet brush, faulty smoke alarms) and areas needing repair or updating.
Some guests appreciated a welcome pack and helpful advice from the caretaker, though please note that such gifts or extras are not guaranteed for every stay.

This cottage hasn't seen any maintenance in years and looks nothing like the cottage advertised. On our arrival we were met with stained carpets damp walls, a smoke alarm disconnected, a rusty old mattress on the bed and bed sheets covered in stains. The rear garden had long since seen better days and there was dog poo bags thrown in the gutter. We contacted the owner who agreed the property was in a disgusting state. We ended up staying in a nearby hotel at his expense. He promised us he would replace the mattress make things right the next day. We gave him the benefit of of doubt and allowed him to try and rectify the situation. Unfortunately when we returned to the cottage nothing much had been done other than place a very large king sise mattress on a small double bed frame which looked ridiculous and was even more ridiculous trying to sleep on. The sheets didn't fit the mattress and my wife and I didn't have a comfortable night. Subsequently we cut our stay short and left the next morning. This level of contempt for the people who are renting holiday cottages only serves to ruin the trade and damage British tourism.

Great location for local walks.Kitchen not fully equipped.

Cottage had faulty smoke alarms which had to be removed as they went off constantly, scaring the dog. Could have done with a back door outside light when letting the dog out in the garden. Cottage itself was cosy.
