We recently stayed at this cabin and overall had a pleasant holiday. The location is excellent, with easy access to a variety of attractions and places to visit in the surrounding area. The cabin itself is charming, unique and full of character, and the hot tub was amazing. The owners live on-site and were friendly and helpful whenever we needed something, they even came out early on Saturday morning to change the gas bottle early, which was much appreciated. The cabin could benefit from some updating in places, and we found the kitchen equipment quite basic. There was enough for simple meals, but anyone planning to do much cooking may find the selection of crockery, utensils and cookware a little limited.Unfortunately, the main issue during our stay was a mouse problem in the kitchen. On one occasion the mouse got into the food and we had to throw quite a bit away. The owners only offered a storage box for food, which we declined as we found somewhere we could put it out of reach, but we felt this didn't fully address the problem, as we were regularly finding mouse droppings on the worktops and inside cupboards each morning. This was disappointing. Despite this, the cabin itself is a lovely and unusual place to stay, with a great location and helpful owners. If the pest issue were resolved and the kitchen better equipped, it would be an excellent holiday.

A beautiful place, very well equipped for dogs. Lovely setting and grounds with very friendly and hospitable owners. We only visited locations that were south of the property, due to the closure of the A31 for the duration of our stay. Highly recommend the costal walks and Moors valley country park. Lots to do for children so everyone was happy.
