We had a very relaxing break at Tan y Castell. We particularly liked:-Very comfy bedModern bathroom and good showerCosy log burnerWell equipped kitchenVery tranquil locationElectric car charging pointGood TV and WiFi Helpful host and generous welcome packWe didn't use the hot tub but it was in a nice private spot - just not our thing To be aware of (as mentioned on web)The lane down to the cottage is single track (only servicing 3 houses) and we were very grateful we didn't meet anything coming the other way as reversing would be tricky particularly in the dark. The staircase is extremely narrow - no chance of getting a large suitcase upstairs. We're not tall and both reasonably fit but some people could find it very challenging. We would definitely return and would like to use the private outdoor space in the summer.

We have no hesitation in recommending Tany - Castell cottage. We have just returned and have already booked again so that says it all really. Martin, the owner is the perfect host. Highlights were the hot tub, the log burner and the bird watching opportunity- special visitors were the owls, woodpeckers and even a Jay. We were also fascinated to see a fox in the garden and bats flying around in the evening. Easy walking along the lane into the little hamlet of Llanmill with our dog. Look out for the peacocks that sit on the gate at Riverside cottage! There is also a longer cross country, circular walk from the door. We are both over 70 but we coped well with the spiral staircase - the only difficulty would be getting suitcases up, but we overcame this by decanting clothes etc into large shopping bags. The cottage is exceptionally well equipped and ideally located for visiting the lovely market town of Narberth and the coast at Saundersfoot and Tenby.
