Ruffles Cottage, Dunster, is a cosy, comfortable cottage set in the heart of the beautiful medieval village of Dunster. The cottage was built in 1844 and has all ‘mod-cons’ whilst retaining its traditional character, complete with a wood-burning stove.
Accommodation
Ruffles Cottage kitchen is fitted with washing machine/dryer, dishwasher, fridge, freezer, electric oven and hob, and has microwave, toaster, kettle, a variety of cookware, kitchen utensils, cutlery, crockery and glasses.
Other equipment includes television and DVD player, iron and ironing board, hairdryer, travel cot, high chair, two stair-gates, electric fan and many books, games, and DVDs.
Wireless internet is available throughout the property.
The log-fire in the sitting room is a wood-burning stove.
Electricity and heating costs are included in the price of your accommodation. Ruffles Cottage benefits from gas central heating, there is also a wood-burner in the sitting room; in the cooler months kindling, matches and one basket of logs will be provided. Additional logs can be purchased locally.
Bed linen, duvets and towels are provided for your convenience, but please bring your own beach towels if you wish to take towels with you on day trips.
There are no feather pillows at Ruffles Cottage.
A small amount of tea, coffee, sugar, milk sachets and biscuits will be provided, as will salt and pepper.
Cleaning materials such as washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets and liquid soap will be present in the property. One or two toilet rolls will be provided.
A travel cot and 2 stair-gates are provided.
There is a washing machine/dryer in the kitchen and a clothes airer.
Up to 2 dogs are welcome for a supplementary fee of £15 per dog. The owners may consider accepting 3 small dogs by arrangement, please get in touch to ask and let us know the breeds/sizes of the dogs for their consideration. Please do not allow your dogs upstairs, a stair gate is provided to help with this, and please do not allow them on the furniture or leave them alone in the property at any time.

ruffles cottage was ideal for our holiday very well equip and in a beautiful part of dunster with walks for our lab not very far away also it was spotlessly clean on our arrival ,very warm and cosy thanks for a great week regards jan

Ruffles Cottage was the perfect little cosy retreat nestled in the lovely magical village of Dunster. I enjoyed a very special Christmas there with my family and didn't want to leave after! The cottage has everything you could need, a very well equipped kitchen, lots of throws and blankets, games an.... The cottage has everything you could need, a very well equipped kitchen, lots of throws and blankets, games and books...a proper home. It is the perfect base for SO many beautiful walks all just minutes away and is perfectly located for Dunster castle, local pubs and pretty shops. To me Ruffles cottage felt like a special sanctuary where life was always as it should be...the chime of the church bells, the sound of the owls and the beautiful starry nights, just perfect. I hope I can soon return. Jane

Nice and cozy cottage that is fully equipped with all you need! We travel from Sweden once a year to visit family in Exmoor and always stay for two weeks in Ruffles cottage! Great location!
