There are views of racehorses training and opportunities to watch lambing from the end of March to mid-May. Check out the horse racing yards, or walk the farmland tracks and meander alongside the rivers. You’ll find everything from short strolls to way marked paths and full-on rambles locally – so take a hike and leave everyday life behind.

Woodland Hideaway was a great lodge - roomy & light. Very comfortable. Two bedroom - we had friends and family visit and everyone was very impressed. Bedrooms at opposite ends of lodge and both en-suite so plenty of privacy.Hot tub was private, super & very well usedWood burner really made the lodge homely and toasty - could be a little cool with just electric heaters (it was January).Great comfortable furniture and beds.Well stocked kitchen, large fridge/freezer, good cooker & microwave.Lodge was very clean, bathrooms spotless. One point subtracted for some cobwebs around windows and high up in lodge (nit picking, I know).We enjoyed long walks along local paths and back roads. Very horsey area - beautiful animals.Would certainly recommend this lodge for a break. Plenty of room to spread out and relax even if weather adverse.

This is one of our favourite lodges, lovely and peaceful in a perfect setting. Nothing is too much trouble for Jeremy and Sarah, they are always around if you need them but equally leave you alone to enjoy. Can’t recommend enough.
