"The 'cottage' was all we wanted, remote setting, but easy access to everything we needed. The canal path is just a few steps from the cottage, so easy to set of on walks, or hire a canoe, or book a horse drawn canal boat trip (separate service provider). located above the tea rooms. From the balcony you get a great view across the surrounding country. The cottage is spacious and well presented and along with the tea rooms, a credit to the commitment of the owners, Iain & Fiona. An extremely enjoyable week and we hope to visit again."

"The accommodation was faultless and the owners were friendly and very helpful. There is loads to do in the surrounding area and we had a brilliant holiday."

"Ideal quiet retreat very friendly owners with very good cafe"

"Great apartment, very comfortable with exceptionally large shower.Very peaceful location to chill out. Parking outside the door. We were basically a couple, a larger party may require additional crockery but I'm sure the helpful owners would supply. Thoroughly recommended."

"Canal Central is in the perfect spot. Peaceful, wonderful walks from the doorstep, but close to Llangollen, Shrewsbury and Chester. Oswestry is 5 mins in the car. We are very comfortable, and lived the views and the teashop. There are canoes to explore the canal, and the owners, Iain and Fiona made us feel very welcome."

"Very peaceful location but close to great places to eat and shop. Lots to see and do locally. Enjoyed seeing the occasional boat go past on the canal. Beeping before going over the little bridge over the canal is a good idea."

"What a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a quiet holiday away from just about everything. Located on the side of the Montgomery Canal, ideally located for a horse drawn narrowboat trip, in a wonderful two bedroom flat over a cafe where you can get an excellent breakfast on most mornings, and an excellent scone on most afternoons. By the way, I was lying about being cut off, the wifi works just fine. We had a blissful week away from it all."

"This is a lovely place to stay with kind and really nice hosts. Smashing baking downstairs. We were a bit perplexed to find no teapot or cups and saucers but managed anyway! Would certainly recommend this very nice apartment and hope to return. Thank you Fiona and Ian."

"Fabulous 1st floor apartment with stunning views over fields and the canal. Stylishly furnished with plenty of space in the bedrooms and bathroom. Lovely discreet owners who run a tea shop below; handy for breakfast or afternoon tea. Horsedrawn barge trips immediately outside the building and a pub about 250 yards down the canal path and another pub about 2.5 miles further along. We don't normally visit the same place twice, but we would make an exception here as there's so much to see and do in the surrounding area, making it a perfect base."
    ROBERT ‐ 8 May 2019
"Excellent property and the owners who also operated the down stairs tea room were a lovely couple. We would stay again it was so warm and relaxing and central to our plans for walking etc.Helpful hint, a little more storage required for food shopping/groceries etc, (we enjoy eating lunch out and making our own evening meals). The extra cupboard storage would avoid having food packages etc on display. Finally, we had a great time and we were made to feel very welcome. Thank you Fiona and Ian."

"Very warm welcome when you get there. Great hosts. The location is really good. On the one hand you feel like you are in the middle of nowhere (it’s so quiet at night), on the other the location is really close to so many amazing places to visit."
