A quirky and cosy stone-built three-storey cottage situated next to the owner’s home in the centre of the lovely town of Whaley Bridge. As the owner owns the antique shop a few doors down from the cottage, you won’t be surprised to find that it is decorated to a very traditional style throughout. Enter into the ground floor sitting room with period furniture and wood panelling making for a cosy place to sit and chat or snuggle up for a movie. On the first floor there’s a twin bedroom with an en-suite shower room and a few steps down from here into the extension to the building is the kitchen/diner, with everything you need to create a hearty breakfast in preparation for a day’s activities. Up on the second floor is a versatile en-suite family bedroom offering a double bed plus a single which can be curtained off for privacy. The location of the cottage spoils you for choice; head a few miles west and you are in the Peak District National Park with all its breathtaking splendour, or stroll into town and jump on a train where you will be shortly enjoying the buzzing city of Manchester. This is all assuming you can tear yourself away from the heritage, real ale pubs, restaurants and independent shops that are all a stone’s throw from the front door. The versatility of this cottage makes for a great stay whatever the season.

Whaley Bridge is a town in the High Peak, surrounded by reservoirs and rolling hills. There’s a great selection of shops, restaurants and real ale inns and there’s always a full programme of events such as the Whaley Water Weekend.
