The charming towns of Edale, the beginning of the Pennine Way, Castleton, and Hathersage—which has a seasonally open outdoor pool—are close by. It is also only three miles to the magnificent Castleton Caves and nearby horseback riding. Visit Haddon Hall and Chatsworth House for an amazing day trip, or spend the day at Alton Towers. Buxton, Matlock Bath, and Carsington Water are also conveniently close by, while Ashbourne and Leek are market towns that are further away.
