Step into the spacious living room, where you can kick off your boots and coats and settle down on the plush red and grey sofas after a long day sightseeing. Sit and enjoy the large TV or curl up with a good book and soak up the warmth emanating from the lovely woodburning stove. The stove is encased in a half exposed brick chimney breast, showing the cottages period features. Step into the open-plan kitchen and dining area, with a table and chairs for six people, a welcome space for breakfasts. The kitchen has a lovely set of contemporary grey and black units and sleek black worktops, perfect for breaking out those recipe books and cooking up a storm! From kitchen there are stairs leading up to the first floor, which has two double bedrooms. The master king-size bed has a second set of stairs which lead up to the third twin bedroom. Each room has a wonderful set of modern furniture, and soft beds which are sure to give you a good night's sleep and rejuvenate your tired muscles. The bathroom has modern fixtures and fittings with the choice of a P shaped bath or a shower over. Outside has a patio area with furniture, a lovely spot to enjoy the evening sun with a refreshing glass of wine. To the side is a shed which houses a barbecue with steps leading up to a small lawned garden area. Off-road parking is available for two cars. Hayfield is a lovely village situated below on the west side of Kinder Scout in the Sett Valley between the towns of Glossop to the north, Chapel-en-le-Frith to the south and New Mills to the east. The village lies on the Pennine Bridleway and is a traditional starting point for the ascent to Kinder Scout and Lantern Pike making the village popular with walkers, mountain bike riders and fell runners. Bank Cottages is set on the hillside above the village and is a perfect place to sit and enjoy the evening sunshine looking out over the hills surrounding the Kinder Valley. Latern Pike, which sits behind the cottage, is a perfect, short, albeit strenuous walk which should not be overlooked with a 360 degree vista and spectacular views. The village, which is a short walk away, is renowned for its high-quality gourmet public houses and has a range of shops including chemist, post office, grocers, as well as a popular art galleries and gift shops. The Sett Valley Trail, leading from the village follows the River Sett to New Mills. Along the 2½ mile trail there are plenty of benches, a reservoir and wonderful views of the surrounding hills.

Hayfield is a village and civil parish in High Peak, Derbyshire. It is a popular walking and mountain biking centre; as well as being a traditional starting point for the ascent of Kinder Scout. With industrial decline in the mid to late 20th century, Hayfield returned to its original status of a quiet rural village. Whereas once the village had 17 public houses and dozens of small shops, it now has six pubs and only a handful of shops.
