The cottage is comfortable, warm and well equipped. We soon felt at home and would be very happy to return. Tideswell has a good range of shops, pubs and restaurants, a frequent bus service and lovely walks from the village.

We loved the homely feeling and our stay was made even more comfortable by very friendly neighbours . We would love to return in spring and explore the local walking trails further . Property itself was very well maintained to a very high standard and met our expectations . Central heating and a very well kitted out kitchen allowed us t

It is reasonably well provided for in terms of equipment. Comfortable it is not. The sofas are very cheap and uncomfortable for even a reasonable period. The mattresses on the singles are truly awful, with the front double not being much better. The springs come through making for a very uncomfortable night; whilst the front is better it is still not great. There is a VERY unpleasant smell in the bathroom of damp and urine. This is not a failure of cleanliness, but maintenance. Broken remote TV control - how much does it cost to replace? Attitude of the owner is terrible. A failure in communication led to us having to wait 5 hours to gain entrance. Owner failed to answer over 12 phone calls/texts. This is treated as a hobby not a business and is reflected in the cheap furnishings, damp and broken remote.
