The well-designed kitchen with its granite worktops and attention to detail makes whipping up a special meal a breeze, and gorgeous countryside views from almost every angle of the lodge will make you feel like you are a million miles away from it all.
Step out on to a private courtyard area to discover your very own hot tub with wonderful views of the beautiful landscaped garden. Lie back and soak the hours away or indulge in a bottle of something bubbly and watch the sun set.
Buxton has much to offer including its spectacular Pavilion Gardens, the amazing Devonshire Dome with its Victorian spa and opera house, as well as unique shops, bistros, restaurants, wine bars and pubs catering for all tastes. Maybe book a visit to a show at the Buxton Opera House during your stay, a fantastic venue for all sorts of shows including comedians, plays, operas and children’s shows. There is an abundance of places to visit from stately homes such as Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, together with many great villages. The adventure park of Alton Towers is well worth a visit, or enjoy visiting caverns, cycling along trails, golf at Buxton or stride out on one of the numerous walks directly from your doorstep. Had a great 3 night stay. The cottage is close enough to Buxton (20 to 30 minute walk away) to enjoy the local amenities but far enough away to feel private. The cottage is bigger than it looks in the pictures and decorated to a high standard. The owner provided everything you would need including umbrella hats which were useful during the storm. The location was easy to find with convenient parking. Thank you for a ‘Pheasant’ stay.

Had an amazing 2 night stay, the cottage was beautiful and the hot tub was definitely the highlight of our trip. Had a small isue on arrival as the rooms had not been cleaned, but after a phone call the owners were there within half an hour to clean the bedroom and bathroom themselves. We really appreciated their responsivenes. Would definitely stay again!

Lovely cute cottage, with everything you need for a weekend. Hot tub is great. The location is perfect to walk into Buxton and to walk/drive to local peaks for hiking. Maintenance staff were really helpful when the internet wasn't quick enough for the TV. Only negatives are that it doesn't feel as private as it looks in the pictures due to the proximity to the main house, with the windows open in the warm weather you can see and hear the people next door. Also could do with a deep clean, there's a few cobwebs and marks on the walls.
