Church View in Buxton is highly praised for its beautiful Georgian decor, comfortable furnishings, and prime location close to local attractions. Guests appreciate the peaceful setting, attention to detail, and the added convenience of a private parking space. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of comfort and elegance, making it a recommended stay for visitors to the area.
Most guests found the apartment to be clean and well-maintained, though there were isolated reports of cleaning issues such as a blocked shower and cobwebs. The quick response to cleanliness complaints suggests a high standard is typically met.
The location is consistently lauded for being central and convenient, with easy access to Buxton's attractions, parks, and restaurants. The quiet residential area and proximity to the town centre make it an ideal base for exploring.
Guests frequently mention the comfortable bed and the overall cosiness of the apartment. However, some noted the lack of wardrobe space and minor discomforts, slightly impacting the perfect score for comfort.
The apartment is well-furnished with quality amenities, but several guests reported issues with the dishwasher, lack of washing machine, and insufficient cooking equipment. Maintenance responsiveness is good, but the presence of these issues affects the score.

The bubbling blue waters of Buxton's eight thermal springs, which maintain a constant 28 degrees Celsius, first drew the Romans to the town. Buxton's current Palladian splendour was designed and built in the 18th and 19th centuries by successive Dukes of Devonshire, this includes the magnificent semi-circular Crescent, The Great Stable and Hall Bank. These magnificent buildings and gardens, as well as the Opera House's full programme and annual festivals of music and arts, are still open to the public today. Many picturesque towns and villages can be found throughout the area, such as Bakewell, Ashford-in-the-Water, Castleton, and Edale, all of which offer excellent hiking opportunities. Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, two of the area's most awe-inspiring landmarks, are just a short drive away. The Peak District is easily accessible from this location.
