Follow a waymarked footpath out of the village to the tree-lined Beresford Dale (1 mile) and Wolfscote Hill (2 miles), or take on the High Peak and Tissington Trails, both within 3 miles. Check out the nearby beauty spot of Thor’s Cave (5.5 miles) before following the Manifold Way along a pretty stream down to Weag’s Bridge (6 miles). In between outdoor adventures, enjoy visiting local towns and villages. Head to the spa town of Buxton isn’t far (11 miles), or see the beautiful Bakewell (9 miles), home to the famous Bakewell tart.
