Guests appreciate the thoughtful welcome pack, secure garden, and good parking. The property serves as an excellent base for exploring Buxton and the surrounding Peak District.
The majority of guests found the house very clean, with only one mention of some cleanliness issues. This suggests high standards with a minor exception.
The location is consistently described as central, quiet, and convenient, with easy access to local amenities and attractions, making it an ideal spot for visitors.
Guests frequently mention comfortable beds and a cosy atmosphere, indicating a high level of comfort throughout the property.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the property being well-equipped for self-catering. A few issues with heating and suggestions for updates prevent a perfect score.
While guests express gratitude for the welcome pack and the hosts' communication, there is not enough information to assess the consistency of such gestures for all stays.

At 300 metres above sea level, this spa town in Derbyshire is the highest elevated English market town. On the borders of Cheshire and Staffordshire, Buxton is described as ‘the gateway to the Peak District National Park’. It’s home to Poole’s Cavern, an extensive limestone cave open to the public, and St Ann’s Well, fed by the geothermal spring sold worldwide by Buxton Mineral Water Company. Also in town is Buxton Opera House, which hosts several annual festivals. There is a vast array of restaurants, pubs and bars to be enjoyed, all within walking distance. There is a train line directly behind the property, and Buxton also has a train station with trains running directly into Manchester’s Piccadilly.

Was comfortable but some things weren’t entirely clean. Had a few problems with heating. Location was good and relatively quiet except for the train running at the bottom of the garden.
