The Matlock Bath Illuminations and firework display are especially popular with kids and adults alike in autumn. Just a short drive away will take you to the nearby picturesque market town of Bakewell (8.5 miles) which lies in the heart of the Peak District National Park and offers a fantastic place for meandering through the various shops, cafes and restaurants. Make your way along the passage and under the feature Gothic style archway. Enter through the cathedral door and take a flight of steps down into the accommodation which leads you into the open plan lounge/kitchen/diner.
