Bookkeepers Place in Bakewell is highly praised for its excellent central location, private parking, and peaceful atmosphere despite being in the heart of town. Guests consistently mention the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable and cosy interior, and responsive, helpful hosts. The flat is ideal for couples or friends seeking a convenient base to explore Bakewell and the Peak District. While most reviews highlight cleanliness and comfort, a few guests noted minor issues with cleaning standards and the firmness of furnishings. The property’s charm, amenities, and thoughtful touches make it a popular choice for repeat visitors.
Most guests found the flat spotlessly clean and well-presented, especially the kitchen. However, a small number of repeat visitors noted a decline in cleanliness, mentioning crumbs in the toaster and needing to clean the hob and grill pan. Overall, cleanliness is a strong point with only occasional lapses.
The location is universally praised as outstanding, being central yet quiet, with all amenities and attractions within easy walking distance. The private parking is frequently highlighted as a significant bonus.
Guests describe the flat as warm, cosy, and comfortable, with a peaceful atmosphere and good quality bedding. A few guests found the bed and sofa a bit firm, but most found the accommodation very comfortable and relaxing.
The apartment is well-equipped with all necessary amenities, including a well-stocked kitchen, utility room for bicycles, and a private balcony. Some mention steep stairs, which may not suit those with mobility issues, but overall facilities are highly rated.
There are no specific mentions of gifts or extra thoughtful touches such as welcome packs in the reviews, so a score cannot be provided for this category.

Very comfortable apartment with the bonus of a car parking space. As the building is very old, we found the stairs quite challenging.Worth noting that access to the balcony has steps up and then steps down .Great location and enjoyed being able to literally walk out the door and be in the middle of everything .Owner was very quick to respond to a query which we were very grateful for

Very nice flat convenient for local amenities. Much more in the area than we thought.

A snug apartment very well situated in the heart of Bakewell, with the added but very important bonus of allocated parking close by. The stairs are quite steep so this property is not suitable for those with restricted mobility.
