Enjoying a prime location within the Peak District National Park, with easy access to the bustling town of Bakewell, Ashford Cottage is a superb pet-friendly dwelling for a couple and their canine companion. An off-road parking space greets you on arrival, along with a shared outdoor space with the neighbouring cottage, a perfect spot for savouring your morning coffee. Step into the open-plan living space, featuring a well-equipped kitchen where you can impress your other half with delicious dishes, ready to be enjoyed at the dining table for two. After dinner, sink back into the plush sofa and select your favourite film from the large TV as you unwind for the day. Prepare for bed with a refreshing shower, before climbing into one two charming single beds to catch your rest. In the morning, why not head out to the shared utility/games room for a game of table tennis, the room also includes a fridge, washing machine and tumble dryer for your convenience. A charming little market town that retains a lovely rural atmosphere and offers a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and pubs, as well as farmers' markets. Downtown, there is a historic 17th-century market hall and a contemporary recreation complex with an indoor swimming pool.

In the Peak District National Park, Bakewell is an excellent starting point for exploring the area. Alton Towers, Britain's most popular theme park, is only a short drive away from the rugged Dark Peak and the softer limestone White Peak. To name just a few, a trip to the nearby Castleton caverns or Little John's burial site in Hathersage is a must, as are many of the stately homes, such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, and Hardwick Hall. Visit the Edwardian Opera House in Buxton, which was designed by Frank Matcham, the same architect who worked on the London Palladium.

    Only problem we had was the noise in the bedroom from the water discharge when loo flushed of bathroom sink emptied.

    I tripped up / put my foot in a large pothole at the bottom of the driveway and Inverted it. It was dark, driveway was unlit and the hole could not be seen. I have informed the owner about the defect.
