The cottage was perfect and quiet. Loved the little extras like fresh eggs, cakes and milk. Also had games to play plus plenty of films to watch. Kids also loved feeding the goats and Donkeys. Will return in the summer

On arrival the cottage was in immaculate condition and well presented, all relevant appliances required PAT tested and in working condition. The first night's sleep was amazing after the 4hr travel, we all slept like babies - after waking to the fresh country-side air, on our way out for day 1) the owner (Tom) reminded me that we were able to feed their goats and donkeys which my son absolutely loved, he has a massive obsessions with Tractor Tom the TV series so staying on a working farm with tractors present lit up his face the entirety of our stay. The cottage is situated in an ideal area of the Peak District: Ashbourne, Buxton, Bakewell, Matlock, Alton all below or around 30 minutes away. The hosts offer a selection of local pubs and food hotspots which are tried and tested: we visited (The Carriage) one of the suggestions, 3 times on our stay....Yes it is that good!! All in all the entire experience was exceptional, the hosts should credit themselves for delivering such a stellar service in terms of the cottage but also the facilities on offer, going above and beyond to be accomodating. You have given this family some fond memories to look back on and I cannot be more grateful. I'm sure if we are in a position to book next year, we will. Diolch from your guests from Wales

Booking was easy, and everything was as advertised. The cottage was so cosy and welcoming, and had everything we could possibly need - the farm eggs left for us were a nice touch. We loved feeding the donkeys and goats. Very easy to get to, but felt like we were in the middle of nowhere, it was so peaceful. Nice pub in the village for meals as well (The Sycamore), but glad we booked as very busy. Honestly our stay could not have been better.
