The kitchen is well equipped for those who want to cook but fairly small hence no dishwasher but that didn't bother me, because of the view you get when washing up :-) The beds are fairly comfortable, the shower nice and warm though the shower shield didn't catch all the water so the bathroom floor got wet. The views are very pretty and the outside seating great for good weather days which sadly I didn't see much of. Locating the cottage on day 1 was the hardest obstacle! I scoured Google maps for hours trying to find it and eventually realised it had had a facelift since it now has a stone appearance rather than the painted one on google You park down on the road basically next to the basement then walk back on yourself up a steep narrow lane to the front door on the other side of the property way above where you've parked. Fortunately I had a small car which fit on the roadside parking but I would be nervous about parking a large car due to the very narrow and steep road. All in all a great little cottage with lots of character. The countryside around it is beautiful for walking and I also did the Tissington trail and Monsal trail which aren't too far. More details on rubbish / recycling would have been useful.

House was clean and well equipped, including plenty of washing-up liquid, cling film, foil, bin bags etc We had a query about the oven and appreciated prompt response from the owner For "facilities and maintenance" I've given 3 out of 4 because (1) parking is limited and on a steep hill and (2) no dishwasher Very enjoyable trip, happy to recommend this house

It had everything we needed, including good WiFi. The kitchen was well equipped and the shower was hot and powerful. Very comfy beds and the heating made it warm. The front garden was surprisingly peaceful with stunning views and was quite a suntrap! We loved watching all the birds visiting. As stated, the parking is on the road outside and it is steep so not suitable for people with mobility issues. However, we loved it as it meant the view was superb! We had lovely walks straight from the house, and the village is well equipped with a coop, friendly pubs, a takeaway, cafe and a post office. We can't wait to return!
