Guests say

Guests consistently praise the Garden House for its tranquillity, beautiful surroundings, and privacy. The cottage is described as comfortable, well-appointed, and a perfect base for exploring the Peak District. Friendly hosts and the occasional mention of a welcoming pet add to the charm. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is one of relaxation and enjoyment in a picturesque setting.

Reviews frequently commend the cottage for its cleanliness, with guests finding it tidy and well-kept. There is a single mention of cobwebs, but this seems to be an isolated comment rather than a recurring issue.

The location is highly praised for its peace, quiet, and beautiful views, making it an ideal retreat. However, some guests mention a rough approach due to potholes, which slightly impacts the score.

The cottage is often described as cosy and comfortable, with a particularly comfortable bed noted. Some guests mention limited space around the bed and issues with heating control, which affects the score.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, with the cottage being well-equipped for a holiday stay. However, guests have pointed out a few practical issues such as the lack of instructions for appliances and a need for additional kitchen storage, leading to a slightly lower score.

Several reviews mention thoughtful touches like a bottle of wine on arrival, which guests appreciated. However, as these gifts are not consistently referenced and may not be guaranteed for all stays, the score reflects this variability.
