Stunning location and a well equipped cottage with very helpful guests and inquisitive rare breed cows. It was perfect place for a short trip with our toddler and two dogs

Lovely cottage in a beautiful part of Derbyshire - extremely cosy for our Christmas stay - beautifully decorated Christmas tree plus lights on outdoor tree illuminating the frontage - immaculately maintained & fully equipped with everything needed to cook Christmas dinner for 6 + dog - bedrooms large with plenty of space for 4 in the family room - the double room was also spacious with a comfortable bed & view of farm & hills beyond - the living area was comfortable with 3 settees -& the dining table bigger than photo depicts & we were able to extend it even more for our Christmas meals - Dovedale, Islam & the Manifold Vally are all nearby for walking - there are also a number of footpaths near the cottage including Ecton Hill which we climbed on Christmas Day - we enjoyed a visit to the Manifold Arms for lunch & to the Children’s Country House at Sudbury on Christmas Eve which was a good day out for the children - the owners were friendly & helpful - we enjoyed our stay & would love to return again in the summer months
