. was a list off Dont’s that we were left with a welcome message Very disappointing that the washing machine hasn’t working for the whole of our stay was really ackward as travelling across UK on caddie tour so needed this and was one of the main reasons booked the property. We weren’t advised in advance not working, it wasn’t sorted whilst we were staying (owner advised new machine arriving the week after our stay - no use to us and felt odd when washing machines can be sourced very quickly) When asking the owner ‘what options to we have for washing cloths’ the reply was dry cleaners in town or Derby. We tried to use the Ashbourne dry cleaners for a service wash and waited until 8:15 but it didn’t open so we weren’t able to wash cloths (needed to be at the golf course during day - said open 8-2 but it wasn’t prompt so no use for us. Disappointing the owners didn’t offer to do for us, get a machine quicker, let us know in advance (one of our group went straight to the the washing machine on arriving (wet off the golf course) on Monday 6pm ish to discover OOO) or ask us a few days later if we were ok. Paid a lot for this property and although lovely the washing machine and reaction from owner left us feeling short changed. The games area as also a disappointment as damp and cold so not very inviting. We left the property as we found it plus left towels and bedding ready to be washed. We took all food / supplies we had purchased but not used and left keys in lockbox
