The small, pretty Northumberland village of Glanton is situated in the foothills of the Cheviots and surrounded by glorious countryside. The village makes an ideal base for exploring the Northumberland National Park, Alnwick with its imposing castle (known to millions as Hogwarts School in Harry Potter!) and the impressive castle gardens.

The house was lovely and comfortable, it was really well presented and spotless and immediately felt like home. The owners have really given thought to every detail and there wasn't a thing that we could have needed or wished for in addition to what had been provided. They even left some milk and three packets of dog biscuits for us upon arrival. We have stayed in a lot of cottages in the NE as we are often up visiting family, this is the only one we would return to. In fact, we considered not leaving
