About this property

Tucked away in Pendle View Holiday Park in the quaint village of Barrow, Lancashire, sits this stylish, detached property, Diddly Squat Lodge which was built and furnished in March 2022. Overlooking a lake and enjoying countryside views, this single-storey lodge benefits from a hot tub for savouring the landscape with your family or friends. On arrival, locate an off-road parking space before climbing a handful of steps to reach the decking or for those with limited mobility there is a ramp as well as for children's buggies. Step inside to the entrance hallway, where you can hang your jackets and after a day roaming the greenery you will find a washing machine to freshen your holiday outfits. Discover the open-plan living space, bathed in natural light through the patio doors and offering two plush sofas so you can unwind with a cup of tea and flicker through the 50" HD TV with Netflix and Prime. The shaker-style kitchen hosts everything you need for a self-catered stay, conjure heart-warming meals with the electric oven and ceramic hob and tuck-into your feast at the dining table for four or even at the breakfast bar. Patio doors lead out to the wraparound decking, relax your muscles in the hot tub as you gaze over the peaceful lake and your pooch can stretch their legs on the lawned area. As day draws to night, retire inside, and prepare for bed in the bathroom, where you can have a soak in the tub or a hot, refreshing shower. When sleep calls, two lovely bedrooms await, choose between a king-size with an en-suite wet room or the twin bedroom, both with TVs for a movie night beneath the covers. Awaken with a steaming cup of coffee on the decking, courtesy of the coffee maker and the chef of the group can rustle up a home-cooked breakfast. Explore your surroundings with a walk along the River Ribble and afterwards you can treat yourself to local ales at a selection of pubs, if that's not for you why not test your swing at Clitheroe Golf Club? Enjoy a spot of fishing also from the decking at the property in the surrounding lake. Venture into the town of Clitheroe, where you can immerse yourself in the past at Clitheroe Castle Museum, watch the latest release at Everyman and specialty shops for a unique gift. Spend the day in the market town of Skipton, home to sweeping moorlands, a medieval castle for a guided-tour and the Yorkshire Dales Food & Drink Festival. For a memorable escape to Lancashire, choose the delightful Diddly Squat Lodge.

The charming village of Barrow is located in the Ribble Valley district, between Whalley and Clitheroe. The Clitheroe Golf Club, a decent selection of pubs selling local ales, restaurants where you can enjoy the local delicacies with a tasty meal, and well-stocked convenience stores with all the needs are all located in the popular village. Barrow is an ideal tourist destination for anyone seeking to discover Lancashire, with walks along the River Ribble right on your doorstep and the National Trust site of Gawthorpe Hall only a short drive away. The Bowland Wild Boar Park is close and offers guests the opportunity to feed the local animals, play areas, river walks, and tractor rides, making it the ideal way to immerse yourself in local village life.
