Set over three floors and sleeping up to four guests, 3 Londsdale Terrace is an idyllic pet-friendly setting, enjoying close proximity to the Lake District National Park and the Blue Flag beach of Haverigg. Be welcomed into the homely lounge, where you can enjoy cosying up with loved ones and enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching TV. Test out your culinary skills in the fully functioning kitchen, where guests can sample your delicious home cooking around the dining room table. Pour in the bubbles and grab your favourite book for a relaxing soak in the bath, before popping on your pyjamas and climbing the stairs to bed. On the first floor you will find two light and airy double bedrooms, each with fantastic countryside views. Completing the property is the single bedroom on the second floor, with charming feature fireplace and expansive views. After waking from a restful slumber marvel at the views from each bedroom window, where the peaks of Black Combe and Coniston Old Man can be seen, enjoy a coffee in small yard with your canine companion before embarking on your adventure for the day. This property is the perfect base for any outdoor enthusiasts with easy access to the many bridleways and footpaths that Coniston, Black Combe and Scafell Pike offer. Get to know your local surroundings with a trip into the town, where you can enjoy a host of activities and amenities right on your doorstep, visit the Millom Museum which details the towns past and has a reconstruction of a drift mine which harks to the towns steel and ironworks heritage.     We were here for work at short notice so had very limited options. The property does not have wifi (standard in almost every accommodation these days) and the 4g phone signal is virtually non existent (not the owners fault but wifi would mean you could at least communicate!) The appliances in the property were very old: the toaster broke within a few days of arrival (which to her credit the owner replaced the following day) but 5 days in to a two week stay the television failed. Despite contacting the owner about this immediately, and several further times, nothing was done to rectify this. The owner maintained she contacted 3 repairs services and non responded??? That being said, in my opinion she should have replaced the TV with a new one or a temporary one but neither happened. The TV was a small, very old one (photo can be supplied) so it would have been likely that any repair person (real or fictitious) would have repaired it anyway. TVs these days can be very inexpensive and yet nothing materialised and further texts to the owner were ignored. The house is described as being in the ‘heart of the Lake District’ it is not. It is in the run down town from f Millom where there is absolutely nothing to do in the evenings (which is why a television is NEEDED). I cannot think of one positive thing to say about this house and my advice would be to AVOID AVOID AVOID!! I asked the owner for a small reimbursement (10% of a an 11 day stay) and was offered a return short break! What a joke. The standard of this house falls way below the standard that any reputable letting agency should have on their books. Sykes cottages (letting agency) were no help either in trying to rectify this) this is now in the hands of the company’s legal department to seek some kind of reimbursement. I am disappointed with both the property, the owner and Sykes cottages, my advice would be to be avoid this house and be careful who to choose your rental accommodation with.
