Guests say

Bangor Cottage is a spacious, well-equipped property in an excellent location for exploring North Wales and Anglesey. Guests consistently praise the friendly, welcoming hosts and the cottage’s comfort, cleanliness, and thoughtful touches. The property is ideal for families and dog owners, with a secure garden and plenty of room. While the single bathroom and some minor maintenance issues are noted, the positives far outweigh the negatives, making it a highly recommended base for a relaxing holiday.

The majority of guests found the cottage spotlessly clean and well maintained, with several specifically mentioning the high standard of cleanliness, even for those sensitive to pet-friendly properties. A few minor comments about tired interiors and garden maintenance were noted but did not detract from the overall impression.

The location is frequently praised for its convenience to Bangor, Anglesey, and North Wales attractions. Guests appreciated the quiet setting and proximity to amenities, though some mentioned the steep hill and tricky access road. Overall, the location is seen as a major asset.

Guests found the cottage spacious, warm, and comfortable, with good beds and plenty of room for families and dogs. Some noted firm or child-suited mattresses and the challenge of a single bathroom for larger groups, but comfort levels were generally very high.

The cottage is well equipped with kitchen utensils, games, and DVDs, and offers ample space indoors and out. Some guests mentioned the lack of a dishwasher, only one bathroom, and minor maintenance issues (e.g., garden bench, kitchen cupboard), but overall facilities met or exceeded expectations.

Many guests highlighted the hosts’ thoughtful touches, such as milk, butter, Welsh cakes, and even dog biscuits on arrival. While these gestures are greatly appreciated, it should be noted that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

Cottage was very big and had everything you could need. Only three and a dog in our party, but more than enough room for 6. Our time there was lovely and would definitely return x

Location great for getting into town and especially if you have a child at Uni like we did. If I had to find a negative (a very small one) it would be only one toilet/bathroom which was challenging.at times (but we coped ☺️) and if you have a bigger car the parking is really difficult but just takes a bit of patience and manoeuvring. All in all a really pleasant stay.

They are very friendly and ready to help in every way. We particularly like the dining room which was very light and airy and has wonderful views of the mountains and Puffin Island in the distance. The approach is a bit tricky at first with quite a steep hill but we had checked it out on Google World Street view which helped a great deal.
