Head for the coast and discover the shingle beach and coastal town of Workington (4.5 miles) where you ll find shops, cafes, theatres, cinema, and museums. Hop on two wheels and explore the 72 mile West Cumbria Cycle Network (4 miles) which takes in disused railway lines, coastal paths, and verdant countryside. Enjoy country drives with lake views as you discover Bassenthwaite (10 miles), Loweswater (12 miles), and Ennerdale Water (12 miles). Visit the market town of Keswick (18 miles), tee off at Cockermouth golf club (8 miles), or swing from the treetops in Whinlatter Forest Park (15 miles).
