Pets are also well catered for with pet-friendly facilities such as bowls, mats and throws provided. Patio doors to the front of the lodge lead to a secure enclosed decked area just perfect for a morning coffee and meaning those with small children and four legged friends can truly relax throughout the warm summer months.
A peaceful stroll down a quiet country lane will lead you to Kelsall village where you’ll find a selection of characterful pubs providing locally sourced food, real ales and excellent wines. At the top end of Kelsall Hill is Delamere Forest which is a paradise for nature enthusiasts. Take your furry friend for a leisurely stroll along the picturesque trails, enjoy a picnic amidst the towering trees, or indulge in some outdoor activities such as Go Ape, segways, cycling or horseback riding. Treat yourself to a delightful experience at Cheshire Ice Cream Farm, a popular family attraction and just a 20-minute drive away. Besides their delicious ice cream, the farm offers various activities for all ages, including an adventure play park, farm animals to meet, and scenic walking trails.
You can embark on a historical adventure by visiting Beeston Castle - again around 20 minutes away. Here you can explore the medieval ruins, marvel at panoramic views from the hilltop, and enjoy a peaceful walk through the surrounding woodlands. On first appearances the lodge was lovely and clean. We soon realise there was very few places to walk with the dog for him to do his toilet business. The lane has no footpaths or street lights so was extremely dark and creepy. It didn’t feel safe to walk to and from the loyal pub and if you wanted a decent walk during the day, you had to go out in the car to get anywhere. In the lodge the sofa was very uncomfortable and lots of traffic noise. The bedroom is rather small and very claustrophobic, my partner couldn’t sleep in there. The bed was small for 2 of us, our feet were hanging over the edge, we are only 5’8. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. I had a very sore lower back the following morning. We decided we would go home a day early and it soon became apparent that we were being watch by the onsite cleaners. Who informed the owner we had left. The owner contacted me to see if the cleaners could go in and get the lodge ready for the next guests. We thought it was very strange that he never asked why we had left early. This was not a place for us.

Clean accomodation, well presented and well equipped, with thoughtful touches for human and doggy visitors. The caravan park is small and quiet, well maintained, perfect for a peaceful time away.

This was an excellent caravan/lodge holiday. Situated within a short drive to attractions such as: zoo, Chester city, Cheshire ice cream farm, Delamere country park. Accommodation was beautifully fitted out and in a very quiet ( apart from some traffic noise) site. I don't think there was anything for children on site.
