This charming first and second floor apartment takes a wonderful position on the city walls, with exceptional views over the River Dee in Chester. Equally perfect for couples, friends or families, this retreat is a fabulous holiday choice, from the characterful interior to the intriguing scenery, you will never want to leave this little hideaway. External steps take you up to this one-of-a-kind cottage, commencing with a country-cottage kitchen which invites the river landscape inside. After an adventure-filled day, you will look forward to settling down in the lounge, a precious set-up with a corner sofa, and a glass coffee table, all uplifted by natural lighting.
A collection of books are on offer for a good read, and the dining table is a chance to join your loved ones for a home-cooked meal in the evening. Three bedrooms are located on the second floor, choose from the double with its own feature fireplace, and elevated views from the balcony, or the magnificent twin zip/link option. The final double bedroom benefits from over bed storage cupboards, with a classic shower room and two separate toilets finishing the interior. Further afield, the Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire and the Wirral Peninsula are a breath of fresh air.

The outlook and centrality are well and truly worth not having dedicated car parking - and in any case thereâs a good public car park a short walk away as well as close short-term parking for loading/unloading. And the property was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, as well as not modern and oppressively shiny like lots of holiday rentals - feels like a real home not a show home; and was excellent for our family of five to have a week of Chester-exploring and sitting-about-and-relaxing. Do be aware if anyone in your party has mobility issues though: the stairs to the front door are fairly steep and not well-lit unless you remember to leave the outside light on, though they do have good handrails.

The arrival information was perfect, the place was perfectly equipped and clean throughout. Beds comfy and quiet and the views spectacular. Everything was absolutely perfect and we would hope to rebook again ASAP. Thank you so much for letting us stay longer on Sunday. It really made the weekend as we managed a walk around the city walls in between rain showers and had somewhere to leave our bags before departure. Warmest wishes Amanda
