Chester is easily reachable by vehicle or bus and offers a lot of attractions for tourists, including fantastic shopping in and around the well-known Tudor "Rows" and delightful strolls along the Roman Walls, beside the River Dee, and through the gorgeous Grosvenor Park. Visit Chester Racecourse, the city's stunning mediaeval cathedral, or the famed Chester Zoo for the day. The A55 and M56 are both close by, providing Saughall a great touring base for seeing the local area. It is also located close to a fantastic road network. Short drives will take you to the breathtaking Welsh mountains and coastline, the charming market towns and villages of Cheshire, and the Wirral Peninsula with its world-class golf courses. Liverpool, Manchester, and the North Wales coast are all easily accessible via the frequent rail services from Chester.

    Welcome pack is always a great site when you open the door and small touches like a basket of local attractions and walks gives some great info for those staying. The Chinese restaurant / chippy at the end of the road was a great bonus. We'd definitely book again

    Situated in a pleasant setting, easy access to main roads, and a convenient shop, just along the main road. Basket of goodies and milk, very much appreciated. Only thing missing was a hoover. Very likely that we will revisit, and book this cottage again.
