About this property

Nestled in the quiet suburb of Great Boughton on the outskirts of Chester, Cheshire is 7 Marl Croft. This wonderful, detached bungalow benefits from ground-floor living, an enclosed rear garden, off-road parking and a close proximity to the heart of Chester; perfect for families, friends or couples looking to explore the historic city. After a fun-filled day in Chester, enter into your new home-from-home and unwind in the sitting room while the designated chef of the group makes themself at home in the fully-equipped kitchen. Gather the group around the table to tuck in before stepping into the homely conservatory where you can sink into the plush sofa and flick on the TV with a glass of your favourite tipple in hand. When the sky darkens, wash off the day in the shower room before choosing one of three bedrooms to catch your rest; there is a double with TV, a double and a single. 7 Marl Croft lies conveniently near the local supermarket where you can stock up on necessities and pubs including Peacock Hotel and The Bridge Inn which serve delicious food, great for when you don’t fancy cooking! The heart of Chester houses a myriad of other bars and restaurants, perfect for those seeking a more vibrant nightlife and good food; be sure to visit Barlounge, Kuckcoo and The Guild for cocktails and La Fattoria or Sergio’s for impeccable Italian cuisine. The city has history woven throughout, ideal for those looking to immerse themselves in the past, traverse the Roman walls which encapsulate the city, marvel at the impressive architecture in the Cathedral or walk along the Roman Amphitheatre which is recognised as the ruins of Britain's largest amphitheatre. Spend the day in the world famous Chester Zoo or take a short drive across the border to the Welsh coast, to explore Colwyn Bay, Llandudno which boast impressive beaches or Conwy for more history. Make unforgettable memories at 7 Marl Croft.

The city of Chester has been called "the jewel of the North-West of England," and with good reason. The old Roman walls and amphitheatre, mediaeval churches, Elizabethan timber-framed townhouses, Georgian terraces, Victorian restorations, and contemporary architecture are all within a relatively small area, making this city one of the most fascinating in the world. Wonderful shopping can be found in and around the historic Tudor "Rows," and pleasant strolls can be taken along the city's Roman Walls, by the River Dee, and in Grosvenor Park. See the stunning Chester Cathedral, enjoy a day at Chester Racecourse, or spend some time at the famous Chester Zoo. Liverpool, Manchester, and the North Wales coast are within easy travelling distance, as are the beautiful Welsh mountains and coastline, the quaint market towns and villages of Cheshire, and the Wirral Peninsula, home to world-class golf courses.

It is ideally situated for trips into Chester and the surrounding areas by car, public transport, bike or walking on cycle routes. The owner actively seeks feedback from your stay and has been very proactive on comments left by previous guests with regards to maintenance or the addition of items such as black out blinds, over shower caddy, clothes dryer etc which we were able to benefit from. The bungalow was fresh and all areas were clean when we arrived. The beds are comfortable and the cupboards have lots of additional pillows, blankets and spare bedding should you need them. A very well equipped and run property.

The bathroom was large and so was the conservatory. The beds were comfortable. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. The goodies left for us were very welcome and a lovely touch. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great to have properly big mugs for our morning coffee. The cul-de-sac was nice and quiet and with local amenities very close by. It's a great location to explore Chester and the wider area. We loved it so much we've already booked to stay again!

As three generations, it was excellent having 3 places to watch tv, on the odd occasion we were not playing games or cards. Lovely kitchen wish i had one that size at home, everything we needed at more in the kitchen and the rest of the house. Will be back next time we are done in Chester. We left a few things in comments that were things that could help like us that are older and disabled for the bathroom, like a stool on also there was a metal rack for putting your soap etc but it was on the floor and difficult to get it, one that went over the top would be easier. Must not forget the lovely welcome basket, wine, biscuits, cheese, fruit juice, milk . An excellent property .
