The multi-fuel stove in the sitting room adds extra romance to this lovely retreat.There is shared, south-facing yard which is separated by a small privacy screen.The cottage has sole use of the patio furniture to enjoy a morning coffee or alfresco dining Guisborough is often described as the gateway to the North York Moors and this ancient market town, listed in the Domesday Book, is steeped in history, with Gisborough Priory dating back to the 12th century, the area is rich in history and heritage with an abundance of castles, abbeys, historic houses and museums. The North York Moors offer lots of choices from a countryside picnic, a hike on the moors, a trip to the beach or following in the footsteps of Harry Potter on the North York Moors Steam Railway. The delights of the Yorkshire coast are within an easy drive with Saltburn, Whitby, Runswick Bay and Staithes a must-see. The drive to Helmsley via Rievaulx Abbey is highly recommended and this delightful market town has boutiques, delis, cafes and superb dining at a choice of hotels and pubs. An excellent cottage in a wonderful location.

Guisborough is a small market town in the North York Moors National Park. Standing in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it boasts famous ruins of the beautiful Guisborough Priory. Popular attractions can be found nearby at the seaside resorts of Saltburn-by-the-Sea, Staithes, and Whitby, whilst the Cleveland Way passes through for adventurers, ramblers and cyclists.
